LiveHelp is a free chat service from LawHelpNY. It is great way to ask questions regarding common civil legal problems, such as housing, family, divorce, debt, and government benefits.
You can chat live with a ProBono Volunteer Monday – Thursday 9am – 9pm. Friday’s 9am – 5pm. Just visit the LawHelpNY home page and click on the green button.
You talk with a ProBono Volunteer by typing your question. Your question is sent immediately to the specialist, and the specialist quickly sends you the location of the information you’re looking for, if available. Anyone can use LiveHelp, though the majority of our information was developed for low-income individuals. LiveHelp is convenient and easy to use. Just click on the LiveHelp button You do not need to download or install software.
LiveHelp cannot give you advice on what to do in your particular case, but we can help you find organizations that can advise or represent you for free. LiveHelp does not have information about criminal cases. We do have information about employment, housing or other problems that criminal charges or convictions can cause.
